Cell’s Corner: New Funding Helps Us Serve You
Welcome to the Summer edition of the MyBuys Messenger! I just got back from a great Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition 2009 (IRCE) in Boston, which had a fantastic turnout despite the economy, and where we had the pleasure of catching up with many of our clients and meeting lots of exciting soon-to-be clients. I presented to an audience of 1,000 e-tailers some high-level findings of our annual consumer research, conducted with the e-tailing group. Next up for our busy summer are visits to the Shop.org Online Merchandising Workshop in July in San Diego, eTail East 2009 in July in Baltimore and the Shop.org Annual Summit 09 in September in Las Vegas. We’d love to see you there!
The attendance and level of enthusiasm at these events continues to demonstrate that, even in this down economy, e-commerce is the bright spot in retail. Consumers are turning to the online channel to find great deals from those who also provide a great shopping experience. Merchants who communicate with them in the most personal, relevant, and efficient way win the business. That’s where MyBuys comes in: personalizing merchandising through recommendations moves product, which makes recommendations a hit with e-tailers in every vertical. Across our client base of 120-plus merchants, we continue to innovate with algorithms that take advantage of our deep consumer and product profiles to continuously increase AOV, conversion and site revenue.
In a clear validation of the growth of your businesses in e-commerce, and of MyBuys’ technology, leadership position and operating execution, we recently received a new infusion of $7 million of venture capital to continue to invest in the company. We will use the funds to further accelerate our leadership through investments in products, client services and market expansion. We already personalize the most Internet Retailer Top 500 sites but we are just scratching the surface of our potential to help you better sell to each of your consumers according to their needs and desires, and to do it across all touchpoints.
